Early Childhood Technology

Early Childhood and Technology, you like technology, you work with little kids, this is for you

About Amie

Hi, I’m Amie.  I’m currently a kindergarten teacher at a small private school in Michigan.  I love using technology and am always looking for ways to use it with my little ones.  I find that there is a lot of tech stuff out there, but much of it has to be modified to work with the little ones.  I’m looking for ways to share the ways to use it with the little kids, and by classroom teachers as well as tech teachers.  I’d appreciate you comments and suggestions.

I was referred to your blog after reading Kate Olson’s blog. Keep up the good work. I currently work in a Kindergarten-Center and a Middle School on Long Island. I love technology as well and am excited because the K-Center will finally be getting a computer lab (pending the budget passing). Have you ever look into freereading.net? KidPix is great and can be integrated into podcasts, blogs, etc. I would love to hear about some of the things you are doing. I will be back to read some more.

hey, arrived at your site when i googled ‘early childhood tech’. i’m a kindergarten teacher in Singapore and i’ve been exploring the use of tech with young children too. the most recent was having my children use powerpoint. i completely agree with the need to make tech accessible and child-friendly and i am committed to finding more ways to doing that as well! am glad to find your blog, will be back to read more to hear about the things you’re doing and i’ll be glad to share some of the stuff i’ve done too and will be working on :) i really like the weebly site as well, love the simple layout.

    cynthia.
